Useful meeting today with Tony Baxter, Regional Director at Northern, as well as our old friend Pete Myers, the Stakeholder Liaison Manager. I was joined by Andrew Carmichael, SENRUG Deputy Chair. It was useful to hear of Northern’s progress and challenges in ramping back up to the full timetable, as well as having another chance to bang the drum for a better service at Cramlington, Northumberland’s 2nd largest town. Sadly, a meeting with LNER for earlier in the day was cancelled and has been re-scheduled for 2 weeks’ time.
