Great to be in Ashington this morning to receive our cheque from Cllr Caroline Ball, Civic Leader of the Town Council. Ashington join Berwick and West Bedlington Town Councils and East Bedlington and Adderstone with Lucker Parish Councils who are contributing to our running costs over the next 5 years – various other applications are still outstanding. We are deeply grateful to all those contributing. Perhaps, next time, I could go from Bedlington to Ashington by train, but alas, completion of Bedlington Station still seems some way off, though hopefully, Ashington will indeed be opening in 4 weeks time.
