Delighted to see the DfT announcement today about the new CrossCountry Direct award. This requires CrossCountry to increase the number of stops at Morpeth from 3 to 5 each way per day from December 2017. This follows SENRUG’s meeting with the DfT last December, along with the Mayor of Morpeth in the Mayor’s Parlour. We don’t yet know which services it will be, but we are expecting it to be the ones proposed in the SENRUG business case submission to DfT which is here.
