Excellent article in Rail Magazine published today, featuring SENRUG’s campaign, and focussing on whether the new devolved powers for a North of Tyne Mayor will make things easier. Meanwhile, Northumberland County Council should by now have had the GRIP 2B Report back from Network Rail (it was due in March), As yet they haven’t told SENRUG what it says, and I guess it is only right that Councillors should be briefed first. But we have requested a meeting to find out what the next steps are, and am hopeful this can take place in the next few weeks.
