We had started to suspect it, but today we got the news that the much looked forward to new services being launched by TransPennine Express on 12th December will not, after all, call at these stations – (except for the single morning call at Cramlington for an 07:11 service to Newcastle). Overall we welcome the new service and it will provide much needed connectivity between Morpeth, Alnmouth and Berwick. However, missing out Cramlington in particular is disappointing.
