Middlesbrough and Edinburgh

Great to be in Middlesbrough last night giving a presentation on SENRUG and our campaign to re-open the Northumberland line, to the Stephenson Locomotive Society, then today in Edinburgh to give essentially the same talk to Railfuture Scotland, on this the exact 60th anniversary of the line’s closure. Good to meet Simon Walton for the first time too, champion of the Borders Railway campaign, and old friends such as Barrie Forest who led the campaign for Reston station. Highest regards to both people for their amazing campaigning efforts – they both beat SENRUG and our 20 year campaign for the Northumberland Line and are to be congratulated for their achievements.
